WILLY KORF / KEN IVERSON STEEL VISION AWARD
This award was originally created in 1991 as the Willy Korf Steel Vision Award by World Steel Dynamics in New York to honor international individuals who have made significant contributions to the steel industry while promoting goodwill and integrity. Ken Iverson from Nucor was the first recipient, after his death, it was renamed Willy Korf/Ken Iverson Award. It is annually presented at the Global Steel Dynamics Forum, a successor of the Steel Success Strategies Conference held each June in New York City, the world's leading conference on the steel industry.
AWARD FOR YOUNG EXCELLENCE
Every year the Korf Award for Young Excellence honors young scientists for their work and innovations in the steel industry. The award winners include researchers from a number of research institutions across the globe.
